Chevron Publishing Group publishes Australian Muscle Car, Motor Racing Australia and Old Bike on a bimonthly timeframe. These titles are leaders in their sections of the motoring press.
Australian Muscle Car is edited by Mark Oastler whose family has a strong background in motor racing and engineering. Mark has developed AMC into what could almost be called a 'cult' following.
This led to Chevron hosting its own race meeting at Eastern Creek in October 2005 called the Muscle Car Masters. Despite the incessant heavy rain it was a huge success. This is now an annual event and the 2008 event will be held on the Father's Day weekend (6-7 September) at Oran Park.
Australian Muscle Car is 128 pages plus covers packed with information and features on Australia muscle cars, new and old. The price is $AU8.50 or $NZ9.50 including GST.
Motor Racing Australia is edited by Steve Normoyle who received his CAMS racing licence at the same Amaroo Park test day as Wendy Wilson (bit of ancient history). Steve is Chevron's 'group editor' and he keeps an editorial eye on all the publications.
Over the years Racing Car News morphed into Motor Racing Australia when it was purchased by Chevron. Stewart Wilson was editor of the Racing Car News for two stints in the late 1970s and early 1980s. The link between motor racing and flying is strong and we constantly find people with a passion for both - like us.
Motor Racing Australia is 96 pages plus covers and it covers motor racing both Australian and International. The price is $AU7.95 or $NZ8.90 including GST.
Old Bike is edited by Jim Scaysbrook and is 112 pages plus covers and it covers old motor bikes both Australian and International. The price is $AU9.50 or $NZ11.00 including GST.
Chevron also publishes Rally. This is an annual magazine.
