Chevron Publishing Group has been producing motor racing and aviation books for more than 30 years. These included The Australian Bicentennial Airshow and The RAAF 70th Air Show in hard cover.
In 2001 Chevron Publishing Group and Stewart Wilson collabarated to produce 80 years of RAAF, a special edition magazine.
In 2003 Chevron Publishing Group and Stewart Wilson collaborated to produce Commodore 25th Anniversary, a special edition magazine. Released in december 2003.
March 2009 saw the release of Stewart Wilson's 59th book and first
biography when the Tony Gaze story Almost Unknown is released.
This has been a work in progress for almost three years, fitted in
around issues of AERO Australia and the Avalon air show publications
and DVD.
Tony Gaze was at university in England when World War II broke out. He immediately joined the RAF and became a Spitfire pilot. He had a most interesting career in the RAF, becoming a double ace and the first Australian to fly jets. He then returned home and flew Mustangs with the RAAF.
Tony had a fascination with motor racing and he started racing during the war. He lived in England after the war and had a successful motor racing career, becoming Australia's first World Championship Grand Prix driver in 1952.
